The school has 3 digital cameras - one located in each Stage area.
As the method for removing images is slightly different for each camera, please select which Stage camera you are using...
Stage 1 Camera
The Stage 1 digital camera is a Kodak EasyShare C310. It uses a 1 Gb SD memory Card.
The card is located on the right hand side of the camera as shown.
The cable/socket that connects the camera to the computer is damaged, so in order to move pictures from the camera to your computer you will need to use a USB card reader. The card reader is located in the camera box and looks like this...
Step 1
The card is inserted into the Reader with the label facing up as in the picture.
Step 2
Connect the reader to a USB port on your computer.
Step 3
The computer should open up the following dialog box saying that it has detected a removeable drive (in this case, the memory card from the camera).
Double click on "Open Folder to view files using Windows Explorer".
Proceed to Step 4
NOTE: If this dialog box does not appear automatically, you can still access the card manually using Steps 3a to 3b below
Step 3a
Click on "Start".
Click on "My Computer"
Step 3b
This window shows all the drives connected to your computer.
(C:) is usually the hard drive
(D:) is usually the CD drive
You can see from the picture that there are 4 Removable Disks (E:, F:, G:, H:)
These are the slots in the memory card reader.
Double click the drive that holds the memory card from the camera (usually G:)
Now proceed to Step 4.
Step 4
On the card there will be a folder called "DCIM".
Double click this folder to open it
Step 5
You should now see thumbnails of the photos on the card.
